They have a sealant and a gasket from the factory. (And UltraCopper is what
I use to seal them when I replace the gasket...just a thin coat on both
sides.)

You are supposed to use a form of sealant anyway when you reinstall them.
(You don't just put them in dry)

Sure with silicone they are not needed, but with a gasket they are. You
don't honestly think Chrysler put them there for no reason do you?
