Subject: Re: DML: 318 Pinging

Hey My wife drives a Grand Cherokee. That thing pings all the time I have
put in a 160 T-stat replaced the cap and rotor with the brass ones. Still
pings. I wanted to get the update on the prom but the dealer wanted 120 buck
to update it. I have tried to find a colder range of plugs but have not been
able to yet. She has the I-6 motor not the 318. ( Buy the way I get better
gas milage in my 318 w/ 3.90 gears ) What plugs autolite plugs are you
running?

My Dad's Grand Cherokee has recently started pinging real bad with the drop
in temperature. I showed him on my dakota how he needed to reroute the coil
wire and sugested he replace his plugs with Autolites. Any thing else I
shoul have him try? Does the 180 T-Stat help this any?
