Why? Dodge is DIFFERENT. They do not know what to think...but it has a
nitch in most markets.

There is really no known competition within each class until the likes of
now a middle size Explorer SUV with three rows of seat showed up. A 30K
dollars Hemi C that will outrun and turn heads than the 200k dollars MB
roadster. The Viper for 69K that will outrun any M series from MB and still
have money to upgrade. A real SUV that you can take off road and power to
boot not a boring, oversize, under powered M320. What lefts? No truck line
from a company who doesn't k now how to develop anything that is for the
middle of the road owners. Truck from MB? Hahahahahhaha. Looking at the
loser called M320, I have to laugh.

It's much worse than that.

"According to the Financial Times Deutschland, the plans for Chrysler
and Mitsubishi go beyond sharing
components. The companies could split the cost of developing new models
and sell identical cars."

This line is the most disturbing:

"Capitol[German magazine] published that under the new plan Chrysler
would lose responsibility for its own
technical development, and the US arm will be directed from Stuttgart,
Germany, and Tokyo."

They also said:

"Bloomberg reports the breakdown of divisions as follows: Luxury
division, representing Mercedes-Benz cars; a
compact and small cars unit, including Chrysler, Mitsubishi and
Smartcars; a sport-utility vehicle unit, including
the Mercedes-Benz M-class model, the Jeep brand and Mitsubishi
sport-utility vehicles; and a
commercial-vehicle subsidiary, including heavy trucks."

One of the things that popped into my head: "Um, where's Dodge?"

For the first time since this mess started, I'm seriously thinking the
end is *not* near. It's *here*.
