Vehicle speed? Absolutely. Accoding to the manual, you can safely
engage the 4WD at speeds of up to 55MPH. My opinion is that if you need
4WD on the road, you shouldn't be going 55MPH in the first place.
I have used my 4WD on everything but dry roads; heavy rain, ice, snow,
gravel. Because there's no center diff, you want things to be slick
enough that the front tires can slide a little bit.
