FYI, The clip on Trucks TV on the Truckin' Nationals was from last year.
It was NOT this years event. The guy with the Toyota was at this years
event again, but they won't let him run because they considered his truck
"unsafe". He was just going to compete in the burnout contest but they
wouldn't even let him do that. He was so upset he almost wrecked his truck
going back to the pits. Also, at last years event, Ford brought 2 brand new
Lightnings there and they let anyone that wanted to drive them down the
quarter mile or whatever. So that was probably the truck that was getting
beat by the Toyota. That was pretty cool, by Ford if you ask me... its like
free advertising.

At this years event, there was a fast Gen I L racing both days (I think he
had a Powerdyne). On Sunday a Gen 2 L showed up and made a run or two but
that was it. No other Gen 2's were there. So your comment about the R/T's
eliminating all of the L's is incorrect, because there was only the 1 Gen I
running in the brackets. The R/T's did dominate the bracket racing however
(since there were more R/T's then anything else there), with a runner-up in
the Sportsman (slicks allowed class), a first and a second in the 13.0 -
14.9 class (all R/T final), and a runner-up in the 15 second class.
