Tell them to call dodge. I called dodge and they said it does not void the
warranty as long as the oil is SAE, etc certified.

Your dealer doesn't know what they're talking about. My dakota even says it
comes with synthetic diff fluid.

Subject: DML: My Dealer, Synthetic Oil, and Voiding of warranties

Called my dealer today to schedule the axle bolt recall, and also ask him to
change the front and rear diff. fluid. I asked him if he could put in
synthetic, he said he would have to check with the manager, he comes back
and says that it is not recommended and it would void the warranty putting
synthetic in the differential. So I said that it isn't much different then
running synthetic in the engine, he goes back to the manager, and he says
that Dodge only recommends running synthetic in two engines, one the Viper,
so running synthetic in the engine would also void the warranty. I run
Mobil1, but didn't tell him that...So now what, go talk to another dealer
and ask them if they will do it??

Josh
