I wouldn't count on MPG increase with the addition of a K&N FIPK and a
cat-back system. Those kinds of things have a tendency to make your right
foot heavier.....so you can hear the rumble better. ;-P Soooo..if you want
MPG, you should order a lighter right foot to arrive with your new truck.
Course....then you'll walk funny! ;-D

Good luck and congrats!

Subject: DML: Changed rear gears

Hi all,

Well after hearing from a few of you all I called my fleet sales guy and
had him change my order to include the 3.92 gears. I want the extra
acceleration that these gears give. Hope to make up mpg loss with K&N Gen
II intake and Gibson cat back system. Once I install taller tires it the
overall gear ratio will be reduced a bit also. So I have ordered the 2001
Dakota Sport Club Cab, Intense Blue, 4.7, auto, +sports group, CC, Tilt,
limited slip differental. All this for 17,972 plus T&L = 19,629.88 out the
door. Think I got a good deal too. I ordered this on Dec. 27th. was told
about 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, but most likely 8 weeks due to holidays.
I already cleared out my garage so I can park it inside... hehe.. the
garage has not seen a car in it for aboout 4 year now. Wife jokingly said
I would probably sleep out there the first night with it...LOL Can't wait
till it gets here.

John
