What are you talking about? my 97 dakota just ran a pitiful 18.5??? at the
track. It barely broke into the 17.8 that day.
but I guess add in the 300+ pound stereo, tonneau, 18" rims with 35 series
tires, and an MSD ignition that had it's rev limitor kicking on WAY before
the truck shifting probably did hold me back a lot. (I didn't notice the
soft touch rev limitor was set that low, I set it at 4.5k rpms, but I guess
it engages about 1,000 rpms earlier so it doesn't do a hefty jerk on the
engine) Oh well, I'll find a way to beat those SUVs one day...
