5&6th cylinder misfire & recent spank stories

I'm was getting horrible gas mileage on the dakota, so I pulled code and it
came up as a code 12 and 43. Code 12 is something to do with the alt or
charging system (darn sound system keeps draining too much power) and the
code 43 is misfire detected in 5&6. I know the wires are in the correct
firing order. what else could cause misfire in 5&6 only?

I have headers, MSD digital 6, blaster 2 coil, intake, ported tb,
underdrives, 1.6 rollers, 19# injectors, and a transgo shift kit... I can
only think that the MSD is causing it to misfire, but I don't know how I
could test it. I'm going to hook it up to the scanner at school to see how
bad the misfiring. Performance off the line seems to be lacking a little
also. Anyone have any ideas??? all tune up has been up to date. including
cap, rotor, plugs, new wires, fluids are OVER changed, etc... nothing is
behind on schedule...

As for power all around, it still had enough to spank a Tacoma SR5 v6
stickshift on the highway. It wasn't a fast pull away, but I pulled away
from him and he had a head start too! then I got away by a car against a
civic EX auto off the line. Althought I had 2 victories, I lost to my
buddy's neon and his friend's SI. Oh well, you can't win them all...
Those were the most recent spank stories. It's been really wet/icy over
here to do some street racing and these races were against guys I know, so
it was all cool.
