RE: Was MPG--Now: What octane?

I run 87 w/a jet chip and a 180 therm, never a ping to be heard. I think
the Jet chip and the therm off set each other in octane terms. Hence 87 in
a stock engine should never have a problem.

Just wondering what octane gas the 5.9 and 4.7
require.
Thanks,
