Hey Shawn, it's funny you mention shocks, cause I'm doing a rebuild of my
front end and rear-end with new shocks and rubber bushings. I ordered some
polyurathane bushings to firm up the joints and I got some Monroe Air shocks
for the rear. I'm lowering my '95 down 2" all around and I figured that air
shocks would firm up the rear end nicely, because I have a custom enclosure
I made for my two 12" subs that I have under my hard tonneau cover that
weighs around 100 lbs and the tonneau cover weighs 75 to 90 lbs. I think air
shocks should do the trick. I still haven't decided what model of Monroe
shocks to put on the front. The bushings I ordered are backed up 3 to 8
weeks, it's giving me time to figure what shocks and possibly go with
lowering spindles. The list has said that the Edelbrock AIS models aren't
what the company says they are. I've have great success with Monroe(stay
away from their $10 models) What kind of STIFFNESS are you looking for? Pep
Boys/ AutoZone/ and others have leaf spring overload helpers. You could get
a shock and put over-load springs on it. Or you could do as I'm doing, and
get air shocks for the rear and keep 100 lbs of pressure in them---just wear
a helmet to keep from getting lumps when you hit the bumps!! If you do get
the air shocks, I paid $63 for them at Checker Auto.
