It is funny you would notice this phenomenon
and have the gumption to bring it up.
I have been a Mopar guy for 20 years
with having owned various Mopars
my self. Everything from slant 6's
318's, 360's, 440's and 2.2 4 bangers.
I have noticed this as well, most often
with the V-8's. I think it may be connected
to the timing somehow. Maybe the
lash from the dist through the intermediate
gear to the cam. They have always been
higher mileage motors. it would be nice
if this could be figured out.
I am writing this just to let you
know that you are not alone.
As a side note it has not been
enough of a problem to ever
make me switch brands cuz
it only affects me during
a race or quick application of
power. OTOH I need the Mopar
reliability to get me to work
so the Hi-PO problem is
not high on my list of concerns.
I would like to discuss this
problem though, and try to
figure out what it is.
Good luck
