Tony, maybe I missed something here, but how did you blow the 318 in the
truck? What exactly failed on you? As far as fitting the tranny into the
chassis, did you check this link out form yesterday?
http://www.hotroddakota.com he has a 904 tranny in a GEN-III, albeit
behind a small block.He might have some information on how he adapted the

Does anyone have (or know of anybodywith) a Big Block in a Gen III??

Since I have to pull the roasted 5.2 out of my 98 Sport, I figure I have 3
options.
1) Rebuild the 5.2
2) Build a 360/408
3) take one of my 440 from the garage, and scare the neighbors

I'm leaning towards 2 or 3. But to seriously consider the 440 option I want
to find out about fitment of the 440 with a 727 or A883 into the chassis.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
