>Ideally speaking the best mount for a shock is verticle right???
How the shock is mounted changes the way it acts--if the shock is on a 45
degree angle the piston will travel farther than the wheel does giving
better damping on big bumps-the shocks should be valved different as well as
much shorter if upright. the gen III Dakotas have one shock angled forward
and one back this helps with wheel hop and torque steer.
