My first Dak was a '91 LE, and it did the same thing. For me it would
finally run, then quit shortly thereafter, or barely run at all. It was the
'Hall Effect Pickup'??? in the distributor. Once I had that replaced
(~$200)... The truck ran fine. Later, the truck showed the Check Eng. light
at various times... Codes were erractic, always changing. The dealership
determined the SMEC was bad...and was $500+ ... after I had dumped about
that in replacing sensors that weren't needed I traded that sucker in!
If no codes, have the dist. checked out.
