Just a couple of things to check

1)Check the Tie-rods at that mileage they could be worn out. There should no play in them at all.
when you grab the tire at the top and bottom you are checking the wheel bearing's. When you grab on the sides and shake you are checking the tie-rods. It is just a quick check. Make sure that you have the front tires off the ground when you do this. If you feel play in it. Look at the tie rods and rack you will be able to see the play.

2) check the rack there are a coupe of bushing's that hold the rack to the frame they can wear out and the whole front end get's real loose.

3) Just in case the front end looks nice and tight and you are not getting funky tire wear check you U-Joints in the driveshaft. I have seen them wear out and made it feel like the front end is loose.

4) You could have a tire that has gone bad. Look at the side walls they should be smooth. if you think you have a bad tire swap the front and rear tires.

There could be alot to this repair. Always when you do front end work realign the car. ALWAYS
. It also could be ball joints you are just going to have to look and see.

Thanks
