I think shifting at 5500 on a 4.7 is okay. I wouldn't mess with the cabling
too much. The 45RFE tranny you have is controlled through the TCM (new) so
some glitches could occur. If that is the case take it back to your dealer.
They have the adjustments (hopefully) necessary to correct it. There are
several TSB's out on the transmission. Still 5500 isn't too high for this
engine.

a problem it really is since I don't usually floor it from a dead
stop....
only if I'm racing ;) What do y'all think? Mine won't shift into second
until around 5500 RPM. I have made no modifications whatsoever
to my truck (just got it a month ago), so now I'm concerned this may
be a bad thing?
