I see. I'll have to pay twice for the diagnostics (once to find the code
and then after I fix it to have it cleared). I never thought of
that. I'll try to work a deal with the shop or if the work to repair the
code isn't too steep maybe have them fix it. Thank you for your
help. Tomorrow I'm replacing the "fan belt" and replacing a leaky radiator
hose maybe I'll take it in next week for the diagnostics. It's been awhile
since I've bought a used vehicle but this one seems pretty good for the
$2900 I paid for it. I could probably continue driving it as is for awhile
but I'd like the piece of mind that everything is as good as I can make
it. Kelly Blue Book says that the truck is worth $5,000 plus (91 Dak 5.2
LE extended cab 4X4 with 135,000 miles on it) so I guess I didn't do too
bad. The engine and trans are in great shape and the body is a little
dinged but still nice. The interior is also in great shape. This mailing
list is really nice. I was in a mailing list for my Toyota RAV4 and all
they could do is flame one another.

Thanks again for the help !

Bye,
Ray
