The Auto Xray XP240 is a scanner. What I don't know is if this scanner
does all three major manufacturers or if there is separate scanners for
GM, Ford, Chrysler. If it does Chrysler, it's good up to and including
'95 models (OBD-I) and should have a cable to connect to the
square-notched SCI connector under the hood (usually at the end of
a wiring harness on the passenger side, either near the firewall or near
the headlamp area. It will tell you the timing at idle and any other
rpm that you rev the engine to.
