Ditto on the 330-180. It was in the truck less than a month when I noticed
last Thursday that the temp wouldn't get above the 130 mark. Autozone says
the 330-180 is not warranted, so I picked up the GT755-180 because of the
warranty. Removed the t-stat housing to discover the same thing you found.

Subject: DML: P1281-the saga continues

The Dak had its 4TH tstat installed on Saturday and I sure hope its the
last one for quite a while.

1) stock 195 deg stat
2)Jet 180 stat-ran at 195 deg
3)Robert Shaw 330-180-stat body separated from the flange and slipped
back into the block-don't know why-motor never got warm and threw the
P1281(too cold code).
4)Robert Shaw GT-755-180-installed, cleared code w/key trick, runs
steady at 180 deg. now.

I really didn't want to become a tstat installation expert but now I
guess I are one. Geez!!!
