Tell this dealer to print out all the service records to your truck and go
to another dealer. Also notify DC.

Subject: DML: DEALERSHIP RUNNAROUND!!HELP!!(LONG)

A little background:
my 99 cc 318 5spd dak has had a problem for over 20,000 miles. I have taken
it to the dealer now four times for this problem.
Once... on the stock tires they re aligned it...
didnt solve problem...
once on BFG's they said that it had no problems...
Once on 17x8's and nittos they said there was no problem.

then I took it to a friend's shop who reset the alignment, then said that
there was"a dead spot in the steering rack"

this would explain the problem I have been having.

the truck tends to wander on the road. the steering wheel can be held on
center and the truck will pull to either side, and will follow minor
imperfections in the road...

this has happened on all three sets of tires...

NOW WHAT HAPENED THIS WEEK...
I called the service manager thursday to make an appointment to see him on
mon morning...

yesterday, I show up and he is immediatley on the defensive, and didnt
schedule the appointment, so my truck was the last vehicle to be looked at
by the front end tech... he didnt even get to it till today...

At 3:00 when I hadnt heard anything I called... my service advisor was home
sick, and nobody cared to tell me what had been done, only that it was done.

I found out that nothing had been done.

All they will tell me is that the wider tires are causing it to ride
differently... nobody will listen that this has been hapening for a long
time.

NOW my problem is where to go now... the waranty is up and I need them to
fix this under waranty since it is an existing, documented problem, so how
do I get action taken beyond the service manager???

help please
gregg

ps sorry this is so long
