Another vote for the Extang. I second all of Sean Sevrence' comments,
except my support rails have never inverted at highway speeds. Mine's about
9 month's old-- maybe the rails have been improved since Sean bought his.
Still, be sure you get one with three rails, not 2 rails. The rotateable
snaps (for a tight or loose fit) is a super idea.

I considered a hard shell, but rejected that b/c I typically load the bed
with stuff wh/ is above the rails -- bikes and kayaks.

The only complaints I have are that the outside half of the velcro strips
used to hold the cover when it's rolled up are too short -- I always have to
fish around to get them and, when rolled for prolonged periods, the cover
tends to rub paint off the back of the cab. Also, admittedly, it can be
tough to get all the snaps snapped so my wife generally bails on that task.
ON that, I finally discovered that if I leave the tailgate open when
attaching the back snaps, and maybe push on the back stretcher bar a bit,
it's much easier to install.

Jef.
