That HALL effect sensor is quite easy to change/ you remove the cap and
rotor, then there are 2 phillip screws that hold in the little piece. After
you remove those two screws (might need offset screwdrivers) you just pull
up and it's out.

PS My boss at work with a 94 ram just replaced his now it runs like a champ
without hesitation, then I had to replace one at school and on a snap on
scanner, it shot ZERO Codes, but the part was bad.
What should I attempt to replace first........Crankshaft Position
Sensor($38.99) or the Magnetic Pickup "Coil", aka Hall Effect
Sensor($34.99). The Hall Effect or magnetic pickup sensor is under the
distributor cap and when under the rotor, correct? How is this part held
onto the distributor? How hard or easy is this to replace?
