Front skid plate / hooks installation

I'm going to install the dual front tow hook kit on my 99 4x4.
I' already installed transfer case and gas tank skid plates, but am now
thinking I should install the front skid plate, too. Two questions. Do 4x
DMLers recommend using the front skid plate? And, is there a sequence to
installing the skid plate and tow hooks. i.e., first install plate, then
install hooks, or v-v?
