Hi,
I just bought a new 2001 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4, 4.7 V8, Manual
Tranny, 3 days ago.
I have already put it to good use,
I drove it home 250 miles from where I bought it in PA, I live in
CT. It was the only place I could find the exact model I was
looking for.
I then drove the next day up to Old Forge, New York for a
snowmobiling Trip. I drove back Saturday since the snow was ruined
from the rain.
On the way back, with 900 miles on the truck, and a 1/4 mile away
from my house. The Truck won't go into gear. The clutch pedal lost
it's firmness and I cannot move the shifter into any gear unless
the truck is off. When I start it back up in gear and let go of
the brake it seems to go a little bit even with the clutch down,
With the clutch up it goes a little better but still not like it
was normally fully engaged.
So It feels like the master cylinder is screwed up or something,
The clutch fluid is fine, and full.
Any ideas before I tow it to my local dealer?
Thanks!
G3.
