Subject: DML: 1992 Dakota Engine Swap

I have a 1992 Dakota, 3.9L V6, 2WD, manual transmission. 172,000 miles.
Great truck! Still going, 18 mpg, but not really strong.

I have an opportunity to buy a 3.9L V6 from a 2000 model. 12 miles.
<$1000. Engine comes with fan blade, alternator, water pump, carb,
breather, everything basically. Great deal. But,

Is it a drop in for my 1992? Are there modifications that I will need to
make and will it fit right up to my 92 manual transmission? Also, would I
use the 92 computer or the 2000 model? Thanks for all your help!
