Hi,
I agree that you will not have an EGR but what about you guys with the MPI
intakes that use a block off plate... Do you guys have driveabilty problems?
Seems to me if he bolted the motor in and used the 92 sensors he would be
O'k.... If worst case use the old heads on the new block....problem
solved......

Hi, Kendall
I believe that the '92 engine has EGR and the '00 doesn't ... at least, this
is the case with the 5.2L. You'll probably run into driveability problems
using the '92 computer on the '00 engine.
If you use the '00 computer, your dash gauges will probably not work. Dodge
went to a totally different wiring setup for the dashboard in '97, in
addition to
going to some LED gauges from analog gauges. Basically, in pre-'97s, wiring
went from sensors directly to gauges. From '97 on, wiring went from sensors
to PCM, from PCM via bus to CTM (secondary computer), from CTM via
bus to gauge pod.
Going by what I've read on the list, the manual tranny on the '00 probably
is controlled by the computer to some extent whereas the '92 tranny isn't.
These are some of the areas I would look into. Hope this helps.
