I agree. This is NASCAR and Marlin was doing what any driver would do. It
is tragic and I really feel a lose, but there is no fault at Marlin. I only
wish that Dale had been driving for 1st place, instead of protecting 1st and
2nd; normal Dale driving for years.
I'm not sure if Marlin bumped Dale or Dale came back down into Marlin,
either way, these cars need space (they were almost 3 abreast again) at
those speeds and these guys no the stakes.
I've been a DE fan for years. I still can't believe this has happened; but
blame should not be placed on SM.
IMHO... Gary

Subject: DML: Daytona accident> My last post on issure
After watching the news this morning I am getting upset. People are
treatning Sterlin Marlin and saying he caused the accident. We need his web
site so we can stand behind him and let him know this. I still think that
DE's agressive driving or a very slight misjudgment was the cause of the
accident. Sterlin had a much better view of Dale than Dale had of where
Sterlin was. I would love to have a copy of the
on-board camera view from Sterlin's car of the accident. So, it could be run
in slo-motion. NASCAR needs to clear this up fast before some dumb ass
radical tries to kill Sterlin. I just thought this needed to be said.
