The MAP Sensor works on a linear scale.
On initial Key ON/Engine OFF, it sets the baseline "0" reading (atmospheric
pressure). Going from idle to WOT varys since the load will vary. Voltages
are from 1 - 4.6v (on the average)...4.6v being 0"hg and 1.2v being about
17-20"hg. (That's for simplicity's sake...readings will vary due to load.)
But, the when under boost (positive pressure / +1-2psi), the MAP reads above
4.7v which is out of range from the initial "0" reading. This "freaks out"
the PCM and it registers 30.8"hg (light load/lean condition).

what it does when it is actually under boost from a supercharger?? Anyway,
