I know the type you are talking about which mounts BELOW the
lower valence . . . you're right, you would lose a lot of
clearance. However, I'm talking about one that I saw the mounts
in FRONT of the radiator IN the lower valence/plastic cosmetic
piece. It requires cutting the four little vertical plastic
'bars' in front of the radiator, but otherwise would not detract
from a stock appearance and would permit a good jack point with
no loss of clearance and minimal approach angle affect.
