I would assume that the automatic or manual hubs is referring to 4x4
applications - for the front wheels. Manual hubs require you to physically
lock the front wheels before engaging the 4x4. So, you would need rims to
allow access in the center of the wheel to do this. Automatic hubs lock on
their own when the 4x4 is engaged and do not require access in the center of
the wheel. To my knowledge, daks have never had an option of manual hubs.
I guess this is what they are refering to.
