So, how do you like the Kenne-Bell so far?

Subject: DML: New Member w/ Supercharged 4.7
Thanks for the welcome everyone. I did the install of the supercharger
myself
about 2 months ago. This was before KB had a chance to get the instruction
manual to the printers so mine were handwritten with no pictures. I had the
Jeep 4.7 manual w/ pics. but there are differences between the two. It took
me about 5 days to do the whole thing and work out all the bugs and it's
been
running great ever since. The kit was really complete. It came with a cold
air intake with a K&N filter; the optimizer computer; 2 auxiliary fuel
injectors that go directly into the back of the blower; the knock sensor
which retards timing when damaging ping is noticed; the knock sensor also
has
an LED meter that mounts in the cab so you can see the first sign of ping
before it gets to the point that timing has to be retarded; the kit even
came
with cooler running spark plugs and a cooler thermostat. I haven't had any
problems at all with it so far and according to my boost gauge I'm running
7-8lbs. of boost. I have been having a lot of fun with it, really getting
into it hard, and have not yet to have the knock sensor kick in and retard
the timing. I don't have a dyno near here so I don't have any real numbers
to
post. I'm guessing with all of my other mods. that I have about 345HP at the
crank. That's 235 stock, + 90 from SC, + 5 from theTB, + 5 from the
cat-back,
& + 10 from the headers = 345. I've never been to a track before with
anything so I'm looking forward to seeing what it will run the 1/4 in on the
17th at the VMP meet. I have a Magnum Performance Throttle Body and a
Flowmaster muffler w/ 3" pipe from the cat back exiting in the stock
location. My Borla headers are in the mail and should arrive Wed. in plenty
of time for me to have them installed before the meet. I made sure when I
got
the truck it came from the factory with 3.92 gears and Limited Slip Diff. I
also added a Roadmaster Active Suspension upgrade to get rid of the wheel
hop
and help with traction. Sorry this is so long, but I love talking truck talk
with people who also love this sort of thing.
