For a proper cleaning, you'll have to remove the TB. That consists of four
bolts for the actual TB, three bolts for the throttle linkage (5/16"), and
six Torx-25 screws for the three sensors.
Once you have removed the TB (you can't give it a good cleaning while
mounted), remove the IAC (AIS), TPS, and MAP sensor and clean out the IAC
(AIS) port with some TB Cleaner and a soft rag. Also, spray some TB Cleaner
on the actual IAC plunger (but do NOT turn it)...just wipe lightly to remove
the carbon buildup.
As for the TB itself, clean out ALL of the ports (and the bores) with the
sensors removed. MAP port being an important one to clean as well...just
don't forget to remove the sensors before using ANY TB Cleaner on it.
Also, don't forget to clean any residual gasket material left on the
manifold (cover the opening with a small rag to keep the stuff from falling
in there). Grab a new gasket from your local autoparts store first before
doing this.

Anyone know if a "how to" exists for cleaning the Throttle Body.
