Yes, you _can_ use the Mopar friction modifier with synthetic. Certain
synthetics (Amsoil and Redline are two that I know of) do not need it.
Amsoil's website says that although you don't need to add it, you can if you
choose. I don't.

Permatex ultra-blue rtv works just dandy for me. I just did mine yesterday
in fact. I used 1.5 cans of brake cleaner to get it all clean (after 16k
miles on the factory juice).
