I'd agree with that, mine took about 7 quarts but I had only bought five (no
tranny cooler on my rig)... Trying to find type 7176 +3 in a pinch really
sucks! Oh yeah, one more important thing. When you go to pull the pan off
stand back as far as you can... Mine was tough coming off and with one good
pull, WHOOSH!, I was covered from head to toe!!

Yeah get about 3 more quarts of tranny fluid mine
takes anywhere form 9-11 when drained
