I've read claims where the tranny used with the 4.7L is a more efficient
tranny than
the one's (42RE/44RE/42RE) used with the magnums but haven't seen dyno figures
for the 4.7L's auto. tranny. Mine (44RE) showed a 22.5% loss to the rear
wheels on the
dyno. The power loss is a frictional and slippage one i.e. power loss is
"morphed"
into heat energy.
