Yes there is at least one advantage to having a 4 banger. I can reach my
filter from above. Of course I haven't had to take it off yet. The first
change was a freebie at the dealer. The second oil change I pulled into one
of those lube places. Just sit and relax while some guy in a pit gets to
get oil on his hands. The next two oil changes were a bonus. One at 7K when
Dodge replaced the oil pan gasket. Another at 7200 when they replaced the
gasket again. The oil is so clean now I have to use the feel test to read
the dip-stick.
