MSD wires for 2.5L

Well 4-cyl folks, I sent this email to MSD a few days ago:

------------------------------------------------------------
Hi there.

In a month or two I will be upgrading the stock ignition
system in my 2.5L 4-cylinder Dodge Dakota. I will be getting
the MSD 6A, the tach adaptor, and the 8.5mm SuperConductor
wires.

I've noticed you don't have a custom-fit set of wires for
the 2.5L 4-cylinder Dakotas, just the V6 and V8 models.
I am wary of buying a generic length of your wires and boots,
because I do not trust myself to crimp the boots on properly.

My question is this: Would it be possible for you folks to
make a custom-fit set of the 8.5mm SuperConductor wires to
fit the 2.5L 4-cylinder Dakota? I would be more than happy
to measure the lengths of my current wires and submit them
to you if it would help. I would even be a guinea pig, and
test the first set to make sure they would fit properly.

Just as a note, I am a member of the Dakota Mailing List, an
e-mail list with over 1000 members. I know of a few folks on
the list with the 4-cylinder Dakotas that would probably buy
a custom-fit set if they were available.

Thank you very much!

This is the reply I got:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir,

Unfortunately we do not do any custom wire sets at this time. I will
pass on the request.

Thanks,
MSD tech

My question is, huh!? Did they just not understand my question? Of
course they do custom-fit wire sets, the V6 and V8 folks can order
a set of wires that are all the proper lengths and ready to install.

<shrug> Guess I'll have to go with a universal kit and crimp my own.
Oh well.
