I agree, I love my Home Depot and would be up the creek without it.
Especially when you need two washers to finish a project and it's 3:30 am!
Hooray for 24-hour hardware stores! My stack of receipts from HD is probably
a foot high. Heh heh!

My point was to say don't give up if Home Depot or Lowes doesn't have the
part you want. Although they carry a huge amount of stuff, you can often
find more obscure items at local stores, and often the convenience is worth
it as well. They fill a niche and coexist with the big stores nicely. For
instance, St. Louis is filled with 100+-year-old houses, and the little
hardware stores in the neighborhoods are well stocked with things we need,
which can be difficult to find at HD because there's really not a huge
national demand for them. Local stores have grown to serve the local needs!

Nice to see you on the list again, Tony. Hope everything is finally settling
down.
