Didn't we just cover this? j/k You have a big reserve. There are several
reasons for this. Trucks drink a lot of gas. A big reserve is nice. Your
fuel pump (which resides in your tank) depends on gas to keep it cool and
lubricated.

Subject: DML: Gas Tank Size

My 2001 CC 4.7 4X4 was spec'd with a 22 gal tank. I run it down till the gas
light comes on and then fill it up with the ol' 87 octane. Funny thing is, I
only get in 17+- gallons. What are the pumps giving free gas now?? Or is
there a really really big reserve left at Empty??

Anyone else find the same?

Mike
