Hi John,

I can't remember on the 4X4. I'll check tomorrow with Mike Leach. I run
the Mopar Performance Headers and the Borla Catback Exhaust System. The
headers include a new Y-pipe and all grade 8 bolts for the exhaust manifolds
and connectors. Mine is welded from the headers all the way back through
the cat and through the phantom tip. The only thing I didn't do (which I
should have done) is Jet Coat (another $225) the headers. The headers cost
$430 + shipping (includes Y-pipe and all hardware). The cat back system was
$329 at the time but I don't think you can get them that cheap any more.
Both are T-304 stainless and warranted for life.

Cool... what would you recommend re: exhaust for a 5.9 n/a which had a
throttle body / intake upgrade
(like, say, a QuickD or similar setup) and nothing else? Would getting a
custom Y-pipe in addition help
things any? The reason I am asking:

I plan on going with the standard throttle body / intake / cat-back routine
for my truck, and am curious
as to what combination would be best for a decent (25+ rwhp plus whatever
torque) increase. I am
looking for a balanced solution, nothing too trick, as the only other mods I
have in mind are an ignition
upgrade and synthetic lubricants. Please keep in mind that I drive a 4x4 QC
(for fit/routing etc.).

Just want to let 'er breathe. Oh, and if anyone knows of a decent
performance shop in Austin TX
that is friendly to Daks, please let me know.

Thx in advance.
