The parking brake is on a cable. On my 92 there is an adjuster under the truck.
The pedal will go lower as the cable stretched. If you can pump the brake pedal
back up it sounds like you might have some air in the lines. Bleeding the
brakes will help that. The other possibility is a leak somewhere in the brake
lines.
