Is it really a bad idea to tow with a Stage II chip, or is that one of those
"not recommended, wink-wink" kind of things (like "racetrack use only")?

Does anyone have the Stage I chip, and/or has anyone compared it with the
Stage II as far as performance is concerned? How do they affect HP and
torque differently from each other?
