The Gen II is a one-piece construction for better air flow; a bigger airhat
for more air flow, all plastic for better temperature control.

Subject: DML: RE: Air Intake Question??
I am also considering this mod. Are there any benefits to spending
the extra money for something like a K&N GenII as opposed to building your
own? Bernd, I noticed you have a GenII, why did you switch from your
home-brew?
(judging from the pictures on your website, correct me if I am wrong)
Thanks,
Russ

Check out Chuck's website: http://intense99dak.com. He's built a nice "Home
Brew" intake system.
