You will get credit for it. I bought a used car and had my Dad co-Sign.
The car loan shows up on my credit, every after it is payed off. The
payments came in both his and my name. The title and registration are in
both of our names. Here is what I would do. Have them co-sign for it, then
when you turn 18 re do the loan. Simple as that.
I would not let it sit on the lot... what if it gets one scratch, or if
some customer gets in it to check it out smoking a smelly cigar or
something. And what if for three weeks the dealor mechanics take it out
for joy rides. All of this is unlikley buy still. Go co-sign now and redo
the loan in a month or two...
