Can't be that. No varnish with Castrol Syntec either. Varnish comes with
dino oil.

I'm wondering if the Mobil 1 unsealed the rings and valve seals (removed
the varnish around the rings) & now it's actually pumping oil around them.
Patrick didn't mention it smoking though. All this is puzzling. It does not
