There was an issue with castrol syntec a little over a year ago. The government
was investigating them since they found that their 100% synthetic was not as
claimed. I used to use the stuff religiously and even had it save my engine once
(long story) but was really mad that this was coming to light. I quit using it
then and never turned back. The investigation was being done around the same
time they had those commercials out showing them running an engine without any
oil in it. I used to have a print out of the FTC white paper detailing the case
but not sure where I put it. I got it off of the FTC website back then. This
wasn't there synthetic blend either. Not sure of what happened.
