Hey thanks for that link - good info for sure. I wish I had tracked mine like
that! My oil history is pretty much all Castrol GTX 20w-50 since the first oil
change. I add some marvel mystery oil during the winter season to thin it out a
bit (and do some extra cleaning). The main reason I went w/20w-50 is because it
stays on my moving parts longer overnight and provides me with more protection
at startup than any thinner oils I've ever used. It eliminated that first few
seconds of "lifter noise" as well as made for a rock solid, steady oil pressure
reading under all conditions from crank to kill.

maybe thats why I see some scuffing. Hmmm, now I'm wondering how I might find
out about which products use it and in what amounts. From that data - it looks
like Redline makes heavy use of both Moly and Zinc - and that Mobil 1 does the
same w/Magnesium. Very interesting data for sure!
