I too haven't had a ticket in over 30 years (I'm currently hitting my head
with my fist, my head being the wooden part). I don't know about Ron but in
my case it is not because this old fart hasn't exceeded the speed limit
(yes you can go over the speed limit in a 4 cyn Dak, just takes longer to
get there). Its more to do with paying attention to my surroundings while
I'm driving.

It also helps to be honest with the officer when you do get pulled over.
One time I was getting on the freeway and got my Fireo up to 85 and was
starting to back off when I got that warm red feeling on the back of my
neck. The officer asked for the normal documentation and asked if I knew
how fast I was going. I told him I was getting on the freeway and had it up
to 85 and was in the process of slowing down to the speed limit. He told me
to watch my speed and let me off.

Of course having said all that, I'll probably get pulled over tonight on my
way home.
