The ++ means second qtr availability for the 2000. I wouldn't hold my
breath. There's nothing for 2001's, not even a part number. I wouldn't
expect to see one for 2001 until late summer 2002. What is surprising is
that they're listing a part number for an HP PCM for a 4.7 4X4 but not a 5.9
4X4. Hmmmm.

The Mopar homepage lists one for the 4.7L for any year 2000+. Part
number=P5007198WA. I have found several aftermarket chip replacements or
add-ons that add about 10 to 15 horse. Here is the link to that part on the
Mopar page.

84 Was just wondering how much horsepower these Mopar controllers add?
They also have a cold air intake I'm thinking of using.

John,
I hate to burst your bubble but there is not a MOPAR HP PCM available
for
the 2001 4.7L engine. Also MOPAR discontinued the HP PCM for 4x4 Dakotas.
The
PCM's usually don't follow for at least 12 to 18 months after the model
comes
out. It will probably be out this coming fall but don't count on one for a
4x4. Bill
